FAQ

How much sleep does my baby need?
Newborns: 14-17 hours. 4-11 months: 12-16 hours. 1-2 years: 11-14 hours. These are guidelines — every baby is individual. What matters more than total hours is whether your baby seems rested and content during the day.
Why keep a sleep log?
A sleep log helps you spot patterns: When does your baby sleep best? How long are wake windows? Is there a connection between daytime and nighttime sleep? This information is also valuable for sleep consultations or your paediatrician.
What are wake windows?
Wake windows are the times between sleep periods. Age-appropriate wake windows: 0-3 months: 45-90 min. 4-6 months: 1.5-2.5 hrs. 7-12 months: 2-3.5 hrs. 12-24 months: 4-5.5 hrs. Exceeding the wake window leads to overtiredness and WORSE sleep.
